Microsoft says its diagnostic AI beat generalist doctors on hard cases

In a study published in Science, Microsoft's MAI-DxO got 83% of complex NEJM cases right, against 36% for generalist doctors, TechCrunch reports. Most of the gain came from the underlying models, and specialists were not part of the comparison.
